Despite the wet and cold conditions, CFoD was out in force on Sunday. The Chiefs win made it all worth while.
Tyler Palko is still the Chiefs starter but Todd Haley left the door open for Orton to get the start against the Bears.
“Tyler’s the starter. If we feel Kyle or Ricky gives us a better chance to win, then we surely would make that change.”
Haley also indicated that Orton would get some snaps with the first team offense this week in practice.
The Kansas City Chiefs have claimed Kyle Orton off of waivers.
If ESPN had known the Chiefs would be without Eric Berry, Jamaal Charles and now Matt Cassel they certainly would not have selected the Chiefs/Patriots game as their game this week.
Here’s to Tyler Palko. I guess we’ll see what we’ve got in him. It can’t be any worse than Brodie was last season when he stepped in for Cassel, right?
Here are the pics from last week’s watching party.
Per Todd Haley, Matt Cassel will require surgery on his throwing hand and could miss the rest of the season.
Terrible. Only word to describe the game between the Chiefs and Dolphins. I hope we never have a game on Megan’s birthday again. It’s obviously unlucky.

The Match-Up
Kansas City pulled out a thrilling 23-20 overtime victory last week vs. San Diego (10/31) on Monday Night Football. The win moved the Chiefs into a three-way tie for first place in the AFC West as the club became the first team to win four consecutive games after losing its first three since Pittsburgh achieved the feat in 2000. Miami is 0-7 on the season after suffering a 20-17 setback at the N.Y. Giants (10/30).
The Chiefs defense has been opportunistic over the last two games as the unit has produced 10 takeaways. That total is the most in the NFL over that time period. San Diego is next with six takeaways. Kansas City has intercepted eight passes in its last two outings.
